INTRODUCTION
The holy scriptures say: “But speak thou the things which become
sound doctrine” (Tito 2:1) We must study the Holy Scriptures diligently to fulfill
that commission. It must be a priority for every believer to know and understand the fundamental doctrines
of the Congregation of Yahweh.
Doctrine:
Doctrine
is a lesson given for someone’s instruction; a collection of religious, social or political ideas that lead a group
to join the proponents. According to the Larousse Dictionary, “the messianic doctrine is the accumulation
of knowledge that every believer should have. It is important that every faithful messianic believer, regardless of his position
or title in the congregation, be nourished with the holy doctrine. Yahshua said: “If any
man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of Yahweh, or whether I speak of myself.”
John 7:16.
We must be sure that each member of the congregation learns to the best of their
ability, every doctrinal point upheld by this honorable organization as its tenets of Faith and Practice. We
must recognize that it is not a doctrine of our own creation, but that of Yahweh, we must avoid teaching our own interpretations,
ideas or concepts, so as to maintain the Congregation of Yahweh as a column and support of the truth. “(6) If thou put the
brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Yahshua Messiah, nourished up in the words of faith
and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. (13) Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation,
to doctrine (16) Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou
shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.” 1 Timothy 4:6, 13, &16. “For we are not as many, which
corrupt the word of Yahweh: but as of sincerity, but as of Yahweh, in the sight of Yahweh speak we in Yahshua”.
2 Corinthians 2:17 “But Yahweh be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that
form of doctrine which was delivered you.” Romans 6:17
The principal tool of the pastor, leader or believer is the
Sacred Scriptures and his central activity must be to bring it to the masses. The pastor is the orator
of divine truths. He cannot invent or alter doctrine; he receives it from Yahweh and gives it to the people.
The wise administration of Yahweh’s doctrine makes us perfect, or in other words, complete and fully prepared
for all good work. The preacher that relies on the Sacred Scriptures will feel its support. To complete the introduction and proceed to the fundamental doctrine of the Congregation of Yahweh,
let’s consider Ecclesiastes 12:9, 10. “(9) And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught
the people knowledge: yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
(10) The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even
words of truth.”
DOCTRINE FUNDAMENTALS The
following are the doctrinal beliefs taught by every minister, pastor, evangelist, teacher, prophet, missionary and member
in the Congregation of Yahweh. Remembering that the path of righteousness is as the light of dawn, ever
increasing until the day is perfect.
TEACHINGS:
1. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES As a book inspired by
Yahweh, the Sacred Scriptures (The Bible) are infallible in their teaching and hold the full revelation of Yahweh’s
Plan of Salvation for man. 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 1:19-21.
2.
THE SACRED NAMES The Congregation of Yahweh believes practices and teaches the use of the
sacred names for the Father (Yahweh) and for the Son (Yahshua). Yahweh revealed his name to Moses before
sending him to Egypt to liberate the people of Israel. Exodus 3:14, 15. The book of
Genesis says that men started invoking the name of Yahweh from the times of Seth and Enos. Genesis 4:26.
Abram called on the name of Yahweh, for which it is said that in order to invoke him he must have known who he was.
Genesis 13:4.
3. YAHWEH – THE ONLY
SUPREME BEING AND TRUE CREATOR The only supreme-being and true creator is YHWH (Yahweh). The
Sacred Scriptures teach that there is an Almighty, Creator of all things, that has manifested himself to man and revealed
himself through his Word. Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:15; Proverbs 30:4; Isaiah
42:8; Romans 1:18-20.
4. YAHSHUA THE MESSIAH The
proper name in Hebrew is Yahshua. He is the only begotten son of Yahweh and the firstborn of Miriam through
the working of the Holy Spirit. He died, resurrected and ascended to heaven and will return bearing salvation
to his people and punishment to the wicked. Matthew 3:17; John 3:16.
5.
THE PRE-EXISTENCE OF YAHSHUA The
Sacred Scriptures clearly teach that Yahshua existed before coming to the world; that is, before being born of a woman.
Proverbs 30:4; John 8:58; John 17:5.
6.
YAHSHUA’S DEATH AND RESURRECTION He
was nailed and died on the fourth day of the week, (not on the sixth day as supported by tradition) and was placed in the
tomb before sundown on that same day. His resurrection occurred on the evening of the seventh day, having
been buried for a period of seventy-two hours, as prophesied. This would have been impossible if he had
died on the sicth day and resurrected on the first day of the week. Matthew 12:30-40, Matthew 28:1-4; John
19:14, 42; 1 Corinthians 14:4.
7. THE SECOND COMING OF YAHSHUA It will
be the most glorious evet in human history. He will return accompanied by his angels to gather the elect
of the earth. The hope of the Messianic Congregation rests on this promise. John 14:1-3;
Acts 1:9, 11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 19:11-16.
8. THE HOLY SPIRIT It is the power of Yahweh,
through which He creates and governs all things. It is the guide leading sinful man to the feet of Yahshua.
It is the teacher the revealer of the truth. John 14:16, 17, 26; John 16:13.
9.
THE ANGELS (MESSENGERS) They
were created before the world and man. They are the messengers of Yahweh that execute His will.
Genesis 3:24; Daniel 4:13-17; Matthew 2:13; Luke 1:11-20; Revelation 1:1.
10. SATAN (ADVERSARY) & SIN Satan
and his angels rebelled against Yahweh. He is an evil, supernatural and spiritual being that stands contrary
to man to lead him against the will of the Almighty. He is known as the god of this world.
John 13:2; John 12:31; Ephesians 2:1-3; 1 Peter 5:8. Satan brought sin (disobedience of Yahweh’s law) to the world and
is the accuser of the children of the Almighty. Zacariah 3:2; Revelation 12:10.
11.
THE TRINITY This term
comes from the Latin meaning “the unity of three”. It is not found in the Sacred Scriptures,
which only support a separate existence for the Father and the Son and the fact that the Holy Spirit is not a person in itself.
John 4:24; John 14:28; Philippians 2:6; 1 Timothy 6:13, 16; Hebrews 2:14.
12.
SALVATION An undeserved
gift provided by Yahweh, through faith in Yahshua, for man to escape from the sentence of death pronounced upon man for having
committed sin. Galatians 2:16; 1 Timothy 1:15; 2 Peter 3:9``.
13.
REPENTANCE AND CONVERSION OF THE SINNER A
reaction of the individual as he comes to the knowledge of truth, recognizes his condition as a sinner, and decides through
a vow of faith to live a live of holiness. True conversion rises out of an absolute repentance and flows
through a life devoted to Yahweh. 2 Corinthians 7:9,10; Acts 2:28; Ezekiel 18:21-23; Acts 3:19.
14.
REGENERATION This is
the transformation obtained by practicing the will of Yahweh through the Holy Spirit which gives man a new life.
Titus 3:5; Colossians 3:10; Romans 12:2; Ephesians 2:10.
15. BAPTISM Baptism through immersion symbolizes death, burial and resurrection with
Yahshua the Messiah where sin is buried and a new person is born. Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Ephesians
4:5; Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:20.
16. GRACE To be under grace one must die to sin. We know what sin
because Yahweh’s law reveals it. The law and grace of Yahweh do not compete against each other, since
they both come from Him. The purpose of the law is to make man feel the need for Yahshua and his gospel
of forgiveness. No person that fails to practice holiness wil have in his favor the gift of grace.
1 John 3:4; Romans 3:19 and Romans 6:1-2.
17. SPIRITUAL GIFTS These are given by the
Heavenly Father to aid believers. However, they are only given to those that produce the Fruits of the
Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:7-10; Galatians 5:22,23.
18.
THE CONGREGATION It’s
the body of believers called by Yahweh and commissioned to carry the message of the kingdom to the world. Matthew
28:19-20 and Acts 1:8.
19.
THE NAME OF THE CONGREGACIÓN The
best name for the people of Yahweh is Congregation of Yahweh, since His people are to be called by His name. There
is no other suitable name. The chronicles narrated by those that worshipped Yahweh state that they were
called the Congregation of Yahweh. Acts 13:43; Acts 15:40; Hebrews 2:12.
20.
THE LAW OF YAHWEH Our
human insufficiency, which we acquire from sin, does not excuse us from the perfect law of Yahweh. If we
know the law we learn to seek after holiness. The purpose of the law is to guarantee our rights.
“Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through
the gates into the city.” (Rev. 22:14) Psalms 19:7; Psalms 111:7; 1 John 2:4,7; Revelation 14:12;
Revelation 12:17; Revelation 22:14; Matthew 5:17-19; John 14:15,21.
21. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS These were written directly
by the finger of Yahweh. Based on the words of Yahshua, the congregation has established that the Ten Commandments
remain in effect as an excellent guide to our consecration. Exodus 31:18; Exodus 32:16; Deuteronomy 4:13;
5:22; 1 John 2:4,7; Exodus 20:1-17.
22. IDOLATRY OR IMAGE WORSHIP The Congregation
of Yahweh totally bans idol worship, since such practice is in total opposition to the will of our Heavenly Father.
Exodus 20:4-5; Deuteronomy 4:15-16; Romans 1:22-23.
23. THE SACRED FEASTS The sacred feasts, as
written in Leviticus 23, are observed by the Messianic Congregation. The Sacred Feasts, just as the annual
days of rest, reveal to us the prophetic significance of Yahweh’s plan of salvation for humanity. 1
Corinthians 5: 7-8; Colossians 2:16.
24. PAGAN FEASTS The Congregation rejects
all celebrations that bring us to associate or identify with any pagan feast (e.g., Halloween – All Saints Day, Day
of the Dead, Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day, etc.). The Holy Scriptures reveal what feasts
to celebrate as children of Yahweh. Leviticus 23:1-44; Deuteronomy16:1-17, 21,22; Deuteronomy 7:26; 18:
9-14; Jeremiah 10:2
25.
THE LIGHTSTAND AND THE CROSS The
Congregation of Yahweh accepts and uses, as an emblem, the lightstand of seven arms (The Menorah). We consider
the cross to be a pagan symbol that occupied a place of distinction iin pagan rituals offered to false gods. Yahshua
was not nailed to a cross in the form of a “T”, but rather on a tree or stake; a single vertical piece of wood.
Revelation 1:20; Joshua 10:26; Galatians 3:13; Acts 5:30; 10:39; 1 Pedro 2:24; Deuteronomy 21:22.
26.
THE WASHING OF FEET This
practice was established by Yahshua on the night of his betrayal to show his love and humility amongst the brethren of the
messianic congregation. John 12:1-17.
27. THE HOLY COMMUNION It’s a symbol
given as a commandment to the messianic congregation in commemoration of the death of Yahshua. This act
should be celebrated once a year on the first hours of the 14th day of Abib (the same night of the Passover) according
to the biblical calendar. Levíticus 23:5; 1 Corinthians 11:23-25; Matthew
26:17-29; Exodus 12:18.
28. THE SHABBAT (SATURDAY) It was given as a day
of rest and a sign of the Congregation of Yahweh. Yahshua himself rested on that day and his apostles did
likewise. Yahweh, at the conclusion of creation, rested on the seventh day and blessed and sanctified that
day to give rest to man. Genesis 2:2,3; Exodus 16:23; Luke 4:16; Acts 16:13-14; Marcus 2:27; Exodus 31:14-17.
29.
YAHWEH’S FINANCIAL PLAN The
financial plan designed by Yahweh for his congregation requires that everyone bring their tithes and offering to the temple
in order to meet the common material needs. Malachi 3:8-10; Matthew 23:23; Leviticus 27:30-32;
1 Corinthians 9:3-14
30. THE DIETARY LAWS The people of the Almighty only eat those foods identified by the Holy Scriptures
as clean. It must be understood that there are foods that are prohibited for consumption by the Congregation
of Yahweh. Genesis 7:1,2; Leviticus 11:4-23; Isaiah 66:15-17. The Messianic Congregation
understands that when Saul spoke to the Colossians about ritual food and drink, he was addressing that used in the rituals
and not that which is typically used for daily sustenance. He also referred to the food and drink and washing
and ordinances concerning meat that would remain in effect until Yahshua died as the Lamb of Yahweh that takes away the sins
of the world. Colossians 2:14-16; Hebrews 9:9,10; Leviticus 11:1-46; Deuteronomy 14:3-21
31.
THE CEREMONIAL AND RITUAL LAW These
laws were given to Moses on Mount Sinai. Moses wrote them in a book and taught them to the people.
Exodus 24:4,7; Deuteronomy 31:24-26; 27:2, 3,5-8. These
rites and ceremonials had as their main objective to cleanse the sin of the people, until the coming of the time of perfection,
the time of the Messiah. They would end with the coming and sacrifice of the Messiah according to the Leviticus
order. Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15; Galatians 3:10.
32. HONESTY Both men and women of Yahweh must abstain from any bad habit, and leave
all practices or things that stand against honesty, self-respect and modesty. The true messianic believer
must live an exemplary life before th infidels and the rest of the congregation. The men
and women of the Congregation of Yahweh should dress in the manner established by Yahweh in his word, with honesty and modesty.
The man should not wear women’s garments, nor women wear men’s garments. 1 Peter 3:3;
Titus 2:3-5; 1 Timothy 2:8-10; Deuteronomy 22:5.
33. USE OF THE VEIL The veil was part of
the dress code of the women of Israel. Every messianic woman should cover her head to pray and prophesy.
Therefore, every woman that honors Yahweh and his word must keep that symbol of headship. Genesis
24:64-65; 1 Corinthians 11:5, 6, 10, 13. As for men that honor, Yahweh, is not the will of Yahweh that they should
cover their heads when they pray or prophesy. Therefore, the men in the Congregation of Yahweh cannot cover
their heads during worship. 1 Corinthians 11:4,7-11.
34. MARRIAGE It’s a divine and indissoluble institution covering the joining of
a man and a woman in matrimony. The only reason for the dissolution of a marriage and acceptance of another
marriage is fornication or adultery. The Congregation of Yahweh does not accept any type of homosexual
union. Genesis 2:21,24; Matthew 19:4-6; Matthew 5:32 Hebrew 13:4.
35.
ABORTION It’s
a criminal practice which is rejected by the messianic congregation. No one has power over life except
He that gives life; Yahweh. Exodus 20:13
36. PRAYER It’s the means of communication between man and Yahweh.
Every prayer must be made in the name of Yahshua, the Messiah, and must meet the requirements of the Sacred Scriptures
in order to be heard and answered by Yahweh. Matthew 6:6; John 16:23, 24; 1 Timothy 2:5; Isaiah 55:6. 37.
DIVINE HEALING AND OIL It’s
a gift granted by Yahshua to his congregation to cast out all sickness. The anointing oil is used together
with prayer for divine healing in the congregation. James 5:14, 15; Marcus 6:12, 13; Matthew 10:8.
38.
MUSIC The congregation
offers Yahweh their deepest appreciation for his work in their midst through music. It’s a divine
commandment to differentiate between the holy and the profane in order to give Yahweh a true worship full of understanding.
Leviticus 10:9, 10; Ezekiel 22:26; Psalms 33:2, 3; Psalms 150.
39. SPIRITISM It’s a diabolic practice in all of its different manifestations.
The same applies to astrology and magic. Deuteronomy 18:9-12; Isaiah 47:13, 14; Jeremiah 10:2,3.
40.
THE RESTORATION OF ISRAEL This
is applied to the reestablishment of the promise land as a sign or the imminent return of our Savior Yahshua to earth.
Amos 9:14, 15; Ezekiel 36:24-28.
41. THE MILLENIUM This is the period of
a thousand years that will usher in the messianic kingdom on Earth. This will begin with the second coming
of Yahshua and will end with the second resurrection and final judgment. Daniel 2:44; Revelation 5:10;
20:5; Acts 3:20-21; Matthew 24:1.
42. THE 144 THOUSAND CHOSEN These are the Israelites
that were chosen after the down pouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. They knew the law of
Yahweh and only needed to accept Yahshua as their savior. Revelation 7:4; 14:1-3; James 1:18.
43.
THE STATE OF THE DEAD The
dead do not know anything. Their memory has been forgotten. All rituals to the dead
are a vain and pagan practice. Eclessiastes 9:5,6.
44. THE INFERNAL FIRE This is a concept that’s
defended by many without reason or biblical support. The word “inferno” comes from the Latin
“infernos” which is translated in Hebrew as “sheol”. It is defined as the grave,
sepulcher, abysm, deep pit, hole, well, Hades and also as “Gehenna”. Acts 2:31; Job 14:13;
Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:14; 21:8.
45. THE LAKE OF FIRE This will be a place
for those that died in sin having rejected our Savior Yahshua the messiah and partaken with the devil in their own concupiscence.
Revelation 20:10.
46. HEAVEN AND THE RAPTURE There is no mention of heaven as the dwelling place of the faithful of the
Almighty, but rather of the return of Yahshua in the clouds of heaven where his people go to meet with Him. There
is no biblical evidence to indicate that heaven is the inheritance of the faithful of Yahweh. Revelation
21:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; Luke 21:26-28; Matthew 5:5.
47. THE FINAL JUDGMENT This judgment will take
place after the millennial reign of Yahshua the Messiah. It will be where all of the angels that rebelled
and all of the sinners will be judged. Romans 2:5; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:11-15; Jude 6; 2 Peter
2:4.
48.
THE DWELLING PLACE OF THE ELECT A
new creation for the eternal dwelling place of the just will begin after death, the last enemy to be defeated, is no more.
1 Corinthians 15:28; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:3-7
49. THE NEW MOONS Yahweh ordered his people
to observe the new moon for which is the beginning of his feasts on the first month. Hence, connecting
the celebration of the Passover on the first month with the new moon. The observance of the new moon is
of vital importance for Yahweh’s people. The calendar established by Yahweh shows the importance
of celebrating and keeping the new moon on the first month (known as Abib or Nisan). Numbers 9:10; 1Samuel
20:5, 18, 24, 27,34; 2 Kings 4:23; 1 Chronicles 23:31; 2 Chronicles 2:4; 8:13; 31:3; Ezra 3:5; Nehemiah 10:33; Psalms 81:3;
Ezekiel 45:17, etc.
